The Good

1.Stellar Device, But Too Expensive

Benchmarks and comparisons have suggested that the PS4 is leaps and bounds ahead of the Xbox One in terms of raw performance. Microsoft is going with an all-in-one console with the Xbone which would appeal more to the American audience who stream a lot of content online through services like Hulu Plus, Netflix etc. But if your intention is to just play games with the best detail available, then the PlayStation 4 is an immediate choice. 

ok so this is not a review but anyways hear me out. i found out the PS3 retail price in India is cheaper then retail price in USA. so i do not for a second believe the import tax BS argument. if there is a TAX of 36% on PS4 which results in Rs 39,990. wouldn't there be a similar tax on ps3?. how is it cheaper in India? this fact really left me wondering whats going on i personally think that the 15k premium is to there out max margins.also no competition right now with no xbox one till late 2014.

Now for Pros and Cons.

To those "fools" who says assemble a PC instead:
PC is a multitask device, which can be made to play games.. No matter how high-end configuration you have, its going to be obsolete in 2 to 3 years.
Consoles are given birth for only one purpose- game. Although it has little bit of this and that (which i doubt people uses much), its sole purpose is to run games
Your argument sounds like "Why buy a DSLR when you can have a phone with a camera?"
I wont say about the performance, there are millions of people who already have written volumes about it.. Even xbox one users  have given thumps up about the superior support for visuals
Note- game play is the core of games, but it doesn't depend on console, its the maker
About Price- its unfair why Americans (and few others) can have it at a much lower price.. But think this way -if you didn't know about the American price, you wouldn't have slightest protest. I am not justifying the price, but is that money worth the merchandise - absolutely.
Look at ps3.. Those who bought it earlier (with higher price) still packs a punch in top class games.. And pc gamers are investing about 20k every 2 years to stay ahead. So in the end who shed more bucks to enjoy having? 
In the end, it all comes to what you want, but it doesn't make this beast lose its worth.

• Honest review from a previous HTC user

I bought this after lot of brain storming. Wanted to buy the HTC one or the Sony Xperia Z, simply because I thought Samsung mobile have a bad build quality. Checked the Xperia Z and was it disappointing, screen is good but not up to the mark, sharp edges and some small niggles. The HTC one was as good as the S4, but the things that let me choose the S4 were the horrible After sales service and the non removable battery and non expandable memory. So I ordered the S4 and got it in good time from Flipkart.

Now how do I feel about the S4,

1. The UI is not as god as the Sense from HTC, but it is still easy to use.

2. The screen is just awesome, you really got to see it to know what I am saying.

3. Battery life is decent, gives about 10 hrs of usage.

4. Sound is good, the stock headphones are decent, but using a better set of ear plugs helps.

5. The phone has so many features that I had to read the manual for the first time in my life.

6. Build quality is not cheap, yes its plastic, but looks good and feels good.

7. The phones is so light you forget its in your pocket.

8. The camera is just brilliant, haven't done extensive testing, but the initial pics were just gorgeous.

All in all very happy with the S4. I previously had 2 HTC phones, so coming from the HTC to a Samsung I have to agree " I have moved to the Dark Side!!!"[for good].
PS: All the negative reviews are from Samsung haters, and most are not even certified buyers, so just ignore them. Go to a store check the phone and then buy

Hi all. First of all, let me tell you that 85% of people who are posting comment here have never ever purchased or even seen the phone in real. Either they are referring websites reviews (which are obviously not fromm GSMarena or Cnet) or they are being paid for this. Today, I've purchased S4 from Gurgaon @ Samsung showroom @Rs 41500 and got flipcover for 1600.

First of all, when I saw the screen, I could not believe my eyes. Is it really possible for any phone to create such display. You can go to any showroom and compare S4 with Xperia Z or HTC One and S4 easily beats them. Touch is awsum, UI has sexy looks, transition among pages and panes is butter smooooooth, Smart stay, smart scroll works like a charm, camera auto focuses in no time, video quality will make you breathless, still pics are veryy good, almost ZERO shutter lag... phewww...

I can write about this phone for hours.. But you'll have to experience it to understand. If anyone can afford it, he should buy it...

Those who are crying for the build quality, HTC one is definetly better but S4 does look premium with its metal framing and plastic back cover is not bad at all.. Why can't ppl understand that to make a phone light and handy, polycarbonate is not a bad option. It is tooooo easy to hold and use with one hand..
