iPad Air Full Specification || Apple iPad Air Review
It's been a long time since Apple delivered unto us a proper redesign of the iPad. The original, boxy, first-gen tablet lived for about 11 months, replaced in 2011 by a far slinkier version. The tapered design language survived, more or less unchanged, for a further 2.5 years -- a lifetime in the consumer electronics world. That period was punctuated by two updates, bringing faster chips and a better display, but it's a full refresh we've all been waiting for, something to make the good ol' iPad look and feel truly new.
And here it is: the iPad Air. With this, the fifth generation of the iPad line, Apple has delivered a proper exterior redesign, crafting a substantially thinner and lighter tablet that finally eliminates the chunky bezels handed down since the first generation -- at least on the left and right. But, despite this significant exterior reduction, the iPad Air maintains the battery life of its predecessor and offers significantly better performance. |
KEY FEATURES OF APPLE IPAD AIR WITH WI-FI + CELLULAR
|
Design
The iPad Air features a body that can be deemed slim, sporting a height of 9.4 inches and a width of 6.6 inches. Accompanying you in your daily life and becoming an extension of your arm, the tablet will hardly weigh you down. The aluminium unibody design deserves much more than just a passing glance - while being unobtrusive, it is also durable enough to stand the rigors of everyday existence
Display
With thinner bezels and overall width, the focus will be on the content itself rather than the device. The 9.7 inch Retina display of the iPad Air, with a pixel density of 264 ppi and a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536, treats your eyes to a stunning array of colors in every visual, with just the right amount of brightness and astounding clarity.
With LED backlighting and IPS technology, the multitouch screen makes multitasking easy. It also sports oleophobic coating ensures that what your view is not covered with fingerprints and smudges, despite constant use.
Processor
Powered by Apple's home-grown A7 chip with 64-bit architecture, this iPad Air processes functions efficiently to give you good speed. Apps you open are launched at lightning speed and the graphics-rich game runs without any hitches or lag with the A7 processor. It also supports OpenGLES v3.0 that adds more detail to the graphics and visual effects.
Complementing the A7 is the M7 motion coprocessor that lends efficiency to the built-in sensors to allow the apps to adapt to the functions and give you a customized, intuitive performance and responsiveness.
Camera
Armed with the 5 megapixel iSight camera, this iPad Air lets you frame and click crisp, bright pictures with great exposure and clarity whenever you want, wherever you are. The camera works with the image signal processor in the A7 chip to adjust the details automatically, letting you click the perfect photograph without any manual effort or adjustments. What's more, capture the entire moment to relive at another time in full 1080p HD video with just a swipe on the screen.
A 1.2 megapixel front camera, aided by dual microphones, allows you to video chat with a loved one with good clarity and detail; conversations look and feel better on this FaceTime HD camera. The camera features a backside illumination sensor to allow for more light to be captured in every frame.

Review Of Apple Air Pad
The Good The iPad Air delivers more performance and comparable battery life in an attractive and impossibly thin-and-light package. An improved front-facing camera makes FaceTiming look better, and the Retina Display still looks great. The Bad The Touch ID fingerprint scanner, introduced on the iPhone 5S, is sadly absent here, meaning you’ll still have to type in a passcode with every unlock and a password with every purchase. Starting at $499 for 16GB, it’s still expensive compared with the competition. The Bottom Line Functionally, the iPad Air is nearly identical to last year’s model, offering only faster performance and better video chatting. But factor in design and aesthetics, and the iPad Air is on another planet. It’s the best full-size consumer tablet on the market. |
Review From Flipkart
Dont get carried away by the bad remarks Hello every one out there who is in a dilemma of whether to buy the ipad air or not dont get carried away by the review of rishabh jain..... he is saying that nothing much has changed but i being an owner of the ipad air 128gb wifi + cellular i can actually tel u that even though the ipad is a bit pricy but an amazing device as it can do things on a 2 core processor that even andriod tab and phones cant do with 8 cores of power..... pls rishabh dont go by the previous ipad models because this is a whole new product and dont think that u know every thing about the ipad just because u own one and drop terms like A6X processor i bet u dont even know how to change the wallpaper on your ipad ..... The best premium tablet out there!!!!! Bought the ipad air last week from croma. I think the new ipad air is extremely pleasing in terms of visual aesthetics! I mainly use it as an ebook reader and it doesnt tire my hands even after 3-4 hours of holding it. Gaming too is great. I prefer playing certain games like FIFA on my ipad than my laptop! My friend owns a 3rd gen ipad which seems pretty heavy compared to the air! The new space gray (probably going to be a standard color henceforth) is quite premium. If you are ready to splurge a little extra on a tablet there should not be any question about the choice as you simply cannot go wrong with the air! Whether you want to upgrade to the air if you have an older gen ipad(3rd and 4th) is something which I cant really help you out on but I do suggest if you have a 2nd gen ipad(without retina) it is surely worth the upgrade. The only questions you should be thinking of are, iPad Air - the best tab available in market! Its lite when compared to other devices. The performance is super smooth. The only thing that I would want Apple to provide is expandable memory. Memory is too less when compared to today's technologies, applications, demand to remain up to date with information. Retina Display is something everyone in my family cherishes. My 1 year 9 months old loves to watch animation movies in it and we are not worried at all for his eyes now. More than me its he who uses it for his learning and entertainment. Good Product Sadly a Few Flaws 5 stars to Flipkart for a timely delivery. They even replaced my first iPad when I found a problem with the screen. I noticed a speck of dust beneath the screen that I could not remove. On taking it to the service center, they told me that it was a problem beneath the screen and that it was eligible for a dead on arrival return. I applied for a return of the product to filpkart and a day day later, I have my new iPad in hand. Alas, the problem seems to be a systemic flaw in the manufacturing process. My new iPad also has a dust particle underneath the screen though it is really difficult to see. Others have reported the same problem with their iPads but it seems that there is no solution. It is a shame though, because otherwise it is a perfect tablet. |
